Back to Second Grade

So as many of you know, my cousin Lynae is a second grade teacher at a new school out in Herriman, Providence Hall. Yesterday she was attempting to get her classroom ready for school to start on Tuesday, so I drove down to help. For those of you who don't know Lynae is very particular about details so it took some time to get the classroom just the way she likes it but in the end, it was well worth the time. She kept saying that she was glad I was there because I could be doing so many other things than spending Saturday night hanging bulletin boards. In my "boring life" all I'd be doing is sitting at home and listening to Showtune Saturday Night. Anyway I wish I had pictures because it really turned out cute. Maybe someday I'll go back and post them. Anyway Lynae, good luck on the first day of school, and everytime you look at the word wall and the crooked velcro you can remember me.

Ahhh Pedicures

So a little over a year ago Mom and I decided to pamper ourselves with pedicures. We decided that once a month we'd go get pedicures, go out to dinner and spend some quality time together. About 3 months ago we decided that it was no longer a pampering luxury but a "we spend too much time on our feet" necessity. So now about once a month, sometimes longer, we go and sit in a massaging chair and let someone else cut our toenails for us. Then they massage up to the knee, file off all the dead stuff, and pamper us with sweet smells. It's a definite high point in my "boring life". I appreciate that we have this thing that is just us, but if anyone wants to get involved we'd be happy to have you come with us. Just $25 and you will feel like you have never felt before!!

Joining the Blogging World

So Mom has been bugging me to blog like the rest of my family. One problem, no camera in this house!! So for those of you who may care about my "boring life" here is my blog. Occasionally I may steal pictures from Mom to make it seem exciting but have you ever seen that movie, Groundhog Day? Yep I do that. The same thing every day. The really good days are when nothing breaks at work and everybody shows up. Oh and when people that I love have exciting things happen to them (like Lynae) and then I get to write about that and that is exciting because Lynae swears never to blog. Anyhow, just wanted to let you all know that I'm out here.
